Article 1

The date 31 August 1968 shall be substituted for the date 31 July 1968 in Article 1 of Regulation (EEC) No 662/69.

Article 2

The following subparagraph shall be added to Article 3 of Regulation (EEC) No 662/69 and Article 18 (1) of Regulation (EEC) No 685/69:

"However, Member States may fix the maximum weight at 250 g."

Article 3

The provisions of Article 2 shall not apply to butter: (a) covered by invitations to tender published in the Official Journal of the European Communities before this Regulation enters into force ; and

(b) sold, before this Regulation enters into force, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EEC) No 662/69.

Article 4

This Regulation shall enter into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. (1)OJ No L 148, 28.6.1968, p. 13.
