COMMISSION DECISION of 22 December 1987 on the forward estimate for live plants for 1988 (88/43/EEC) THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Having regard to the Act of Accession of Spain and Portugal, and in particular Article 251 (1) thereof, Whereas Article 251 (1) of the Act of Accession provides that, at the beginning of each maketing year, a forward estimate is to be drawn up for each of the products subect to the supplementary trade mechanism (STM); whereas, given the way in which live plants are marketed and in particular the absence of any marketing year, the calendar year should be adopted as the reference period; Whereas the forward estimate for the period 1 January to 31 December 1988 has been drawn up on the basis of forecasts of production and consumption; Whereas the measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the Management Committee for Live Plants, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:
