Council Decision (CFSP) 2024/1498 of 27 May 2024 repealing Decision (CFSP) 2022/2444 on a European Union military partnership mission in Niger (EUMPM Niger) THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 42(4) and Article 43(2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) On 12 December 2022, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/2444 Council Decision (CFSP) 2022/2444 of 12 December 2022 on a European Union military partnership mission in Niger (EUMPM Niger) (OJ L 319, 13.12.2022, p. 86). on a European Union military partnership mission in Niger (EUMPM Niger). (3) By letter dated 21 December 2023, the EU Mission Commander of EUMPM Niger notified the Political and Security Committee (PSC) that the EU personnel of that mission had been redeployed to Europe on 17 December 2023. (4) On 23 April 2024, the PSC agreed that EUMPM Niger should not be extended beyond 30 June 2024 and that Decision (CFSP) 2022/2444 should be repealed in accordance with Article 13(3) thereof. (5) Council Decision (CFSP) 2021/509 Council Decision (CFSP) 2021/509 of 22 March 2021 establishing a European Peace Facility, and repealing Decision (CFSP) 2015/528 (OJ L 102, 24.3.2021, p. 14). , which establishes the European Peace Facility, lays down the procedures for the audit and presentation of the accounts of an EU military mission, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

1. Decision (CFSP) 2022/2444 is hereby repealed.
2. Paragraph 1 of this Article shall be without prejudice to the procedures laid down in Decision (CFSP) 2021/509 regarding the audit and presentation of the accounts of an EU military mission.

Article 2
