Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2386 of 6 September 2024 granting derogations to certain Member States regarding the transmission of statistics relating to agricultural input and output pursuant to Implementing Regulations (EU) 2023/1538 and (EU) 2023/1579 (notified under document C(2024) 6243) (Only the German, Greek and Slovenian texts are authentic) THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Regulation (EU) 2022/2379 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on statistics on agricultural input and output, amending Commission Regulation (EC) No 617/2008 and repealing Regulations (EC) No 1165/2008, (EC) No 543/2009 and (EC) No 1185/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Council Directive 96/16/EC OJ L 315, 7.12.2022, p. 1, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg/2022/2379/oj. , and in particular Article 16(1), first subparagraph thereof, Whereas: (1) The Federal Republic of Germany (Germany), the Hellenic Republic (Greece), the Republic of Cyprus (Cyprus), the Republic of Austria (Austria) and the Republic of Slovenia (Slovenia) have submitted requests to be granted temporary derogations, pursuant to Article 16(1) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2379, as regards certain provisions of Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2023/1538 Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1538 of 25 July 2023 laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) 2022/2379 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards crop production statistics (OJ L 187, 26.7.2023, p. 40, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg_impl/2023/1538/oj). and (EU) 2023/1579 Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1579 of 31 July 2023 laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) 2022/2379 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards agricultural price statistics (OJ L 193, 1.8.2023, p. 14, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg_impl/2023/1579/oj). , in order to allow more time to comply with the new statistical requirements under Regulation (EU) 2022/2379 or its implementing or delegated measures. (2) In accordance with the information provided in those requests, the Commission considers that major adaptations to the national statistical systems of the Member States concerned are necessary. The requested derogations are therefore justified and should be granted to Germany, Greece, Cyprus, Austria and Slovenia. (3) The measures provided for in this Decision are in accordance with the opinion of the European Statistical System Committee, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

The derogations from Implementing Regulations (EU) 2023/1538 and (EU) 2023/1579 set out in the Annex to this Decision shall be granted to the Member States listed therein for the respective reference periods listed therein.

Article 2

This Decision is addressed to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Slovenia.
