Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/211 of 30 January 2025 amending Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 on a European Union mission in Armenia (EUMA) THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 42(4) and Article 43(2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) On 23 January 2023, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 of 23 January 2023 on a European Union mission in Armenia (EUMA) (OJ L 22, 24.1.2023, p. 29, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2023/162/oj). , which established the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) for a period of two years from its launch. (2) On 20 February 2023, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/386 Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/386 of 20 February 2023 launching the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) and amending Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 (OJ L 53, 21.2.2023, p. 17, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2023/386/oj). , launching EUMA and giving the mission a financial reference amount for the period from 23 January 2023 until 19 February 2025. (3) In the context of the strategic review of EUMA, the Political and Security Committee agreed to extend EUMA until 19 February 2027 with the same mandate. (4) Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 should therefore be amended accordingly. (5) EUMA will be conducted in the context of a situation which may deteriorate and could impede the achievement of the objectives of the Union’s external action as set out in Article 21 of the Treaty, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Decision (CFSP) 2023/162 is amended as follows: (1) in Article 13, paragraph 1 is amended as follows: (a) the second sentence is deleted; (b) the following subparagraph is added: The financial reference amount intended to cover the expenditure related to EUMA for the period from 20 February 2025 until 19 February 2027 shall be EUR 44199520. ; (2) in Article 18, paragraph 2 is replaced by the following: 2. It shall apply until 19 February 2027..
