Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/1354 of 8 July 2025 amending Decision 2014/219/CFSP on the European Union CSDP Mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali) THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 42(4) and Article 43(2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) On 15 April 2014, the Council adopted Decision 2014/219/CFSP Council Decision 2014/219/CFSP of 15 April 2014 on the European Union CSDP mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali) (OJ L 113, 16.4.2014, p. 21, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2014/219/oj). on the European Union CSDP Mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali). (2) On 13 May 2019, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2019/762 Council Decision (CFSP) 2019/762 of 13 May 2019 amending Decision 2014/219/CFSP on the European Union CSDP Mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali) (OJ L 125, 14.5.2019, p. 18, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2019/762/oj). , which, inter alia, established a Regional Advisory and Coordination Cell (RACC) within EUCAP Sahel Mali with specific objectives linked to the G5 Sahel structures and countries. The RACC is organised by Article 14a of Decision 2014/219/CFSP. (3) On 27 January 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/166 Council Decision (CFSP) 2025/166 of 27 January 2025 amending Decision 2014/219/CFSP on the European Union CSDP Mission in Mali (EUCAP Sahel Mali) (OJ L, 2025/166, 28.1.2025, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2025/166/oj). , which extended EUCAP Sahel Mali until 31 January 2027, with the exception of the RACC, which was extended until 31 July 2025. (4) On 29 April 2025, the Political and Security Committee agreed to a further extension of the RACC until 31 January 2026. (5) Decision 2014/219/CFSP should be amended accordingly. (6) EUCAP Sahel Mali will be conducted in the context of a situation which may deteriorate and could impede the achievement of the objectives of the Union’s external action as set out in Article 21 of the Treaty, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

In Decision 2014/219/CFSP, the second sentence of Article 18 is replaced by the following: It shall apply until 31 January 2027, except for Article 14a, which shall apply until 31 January 2026..
