Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/701 of 7 April 2025 implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/395 amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, Having regard to Council Regulation (EU) 2025/395 of 24 February 2025 amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine OJ L, 2025/395, 24.2.2025, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg/2025/395/oj. , and in particular Article 1, point (39) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Whereas: (1) On 24 February 2025, the Council adopted Regulation (EU) 2025/395, which amended Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 of 31 July 2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine (OJ L 229, 31.7.2014, p. 1, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg/2014/833/oj). and introduced further restrictive measures to suspend the broadcasting activities in the Union, or directed at the Union, of certain media outlets listed in Annex V to Regulation (EU) 2025/395. Pursuant to Article 1, point (39) of Regulation (EU) 2025/395, the applicability of such measures in respect of one or several of those media outlets is subject to the adoption of an implementing act by the Council. (2) Having examined the respective cases, the Council has concluded that the restrictive measures referred to in Article 2f of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 should apply as of 9 April 2025 in respect of all entities listed in Annex V to Regulation (EU) 2025/395, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1

The measures referred to in Article 2f of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 shall apply as of 9 April 2025 in respect of all entities listed in Annex V to Regulation (EU) 2025/395.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
