Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2026/399 of 17 February 2026 on the appointment of the Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) (EUMA/1/2026) THE POLITICAL AND SECURITY COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 38, third paragraph thereof, Having regard to Council Decision (CSFP) 2023/162 of 23 January 2023 on a European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) OJ L 22, 24.1.2023, p. 29, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2023/162/oj. , and in particular Article 8(1) thereof, Whereas: (1) Pursuant to Article 8(1) of Decision (CFSP) 2023/162, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) is authorised, in accordance with Article 38, third paragraph, of the Treaty, to take the relevant decisions for the purpose of exercising political control and strategic direction of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA), including the decision to appoint a Head of Mission, upon a proposal of the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (the High Representative). (2) On 24 January 2023, the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2023/164 Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2023/164 of 24 January 2023 on the appointment of the Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) (EUMA/1/2023) (OJ L 23, 25.1.2023, p. 18, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2023/164/oj). , appointing Mr Markus RITTER as Head of Mission of EUMA from 24 January 2023 to 20 February 2024. (3) On 13 February 2024, the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2024/604 Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2024/604 of 13 February 2024 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) (EUMA/1/2024) (OJ L, 2024/604, 16.2.2024, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2024/604/oj). extending the mandate of Mr Markus RITTER as Head of Mission of EUMA from 21 February 2024 to 19 February 2025. (4) On 11 February 2025, the PSC adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/319 Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2025/319 of 11 February 2025 extending the mandate of the Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) (EUMA/1/2025) (OJ L, 2025/319, 12.2.2025, ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2025/319/oj). extending the mandate of Mr. Markus RITTER as Head of Mission of EUMA from 20 February 2025 to 19 February 2026. (5) On 29 January 2026, the High Representative proposed the appointment of Ms Satu KOIVU as Head of Mission of EUMA from 6 March 2026 to 19 February 2027, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Ms Satu KOIVU is appointed as Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) from 6 March 2026 to 19 February 2027.

Article 2
