Council Decision (EU) 2026/422 of 17 February 2026 appointing a member of the Court of Auditors THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, and in particular Article 286(2) thereof, Having regard to the proposal from the Federal Republic of Germany, Having regard to the opinion of the European Parliament Opinion of 25 November 2025 (not yet published in the Official Journal). , Whereas: (1) The term of office of Mr Klaus-Heiner LEHNE is due to expire on 28 February 2026. (2) A member should therefore be appointed to the Court of Auditors, HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:

Article 1

Mr Daniel CASPARY is hereby appointed as a member of the Court of Auditors for the period from 1 March 2026 to 29 February 2032.

Article 2
